Lifesystems Heatshield Thermal Blanket is a lightweight and reusable emergency blanket that helps limit body heat loss when weather conditions deteriorate. The heat-reflecting material reflects and retains 90 percent of the body's radiated heat while reducing the chilling effect of wind.

The emergency blanket is windproof, waterproof, radar reflective and very compact when packed, making it an ideal safety kit for hiking, trail running, skiing, cycling, competitions, expeditions and travel.

Heat-reflecting protection

The blanket is made of metallized low-density polyethylene that reflects body heat back towards the user. It can be used as temporary protection against wind, rain and cold in the event of an accident, injury or unexpected wait outdoors.

The material is both durable and tear-resistant. The blanket can be reused as long as it is clean and has no holes or other damage that would impair protection.

Visible and radar reflective

The visible and radar-reflective material can facilitate location during a rescue operation. The blanket also has printed instructions with basic information for an emergency.

Lifesystems Heatshield Thermal Blanket is available in two sizes: Single for one person and Double with a larger coverage area for up to two people.

Use

Unfold the blanket and wrap it around the person so that as much of the body as possible is covered. Keep the face and airways clear. Also try to insulate the person from cold or wet ground with, for example, a sleeping pad, a backpack or dry clothes.

The blanket does not produce its own heat and does not replace insulating clothing, sleeping bags or professional care. Contact the emergency services in case of suspected hypothermia, serious injury or other emergency situation. In Sweden, call 112.
