Grinding equipment
To get the best possible glide, stability and control on natural ice, it is important that your touring skates are properly sharpened and well maintained . Here you will find sharpening equipment that makes it easy to keep your skates in top condition – whether you sharpen them yourself or leave them to us.
We also offer professional sharpening in our shop in Åre , where we use proven methods and equipment that provide a precise and even sharpening with a perfect radius. Perfect for beginners, experienced skaters and those who want a quick upgrade in the performance of their skates.
A properly sharpened splint gives you:
better glide on all types of natural ice
more stable riding , especially on uneven ice
better control in turns and in varying ice conditions
smoother power transmission
longer life of the rails
A few degrees of error or unevenness in the steel can affect the ride feel enormously – which is why it pays to sharpen regularly.
We offer a wide range of sharpening equipment adapted for touring skates:
Holds the rail firmly in place and ensures even and accurate grinding.
Perfect for those who want to grind at home with professional results.
Used to fine-tune the steel and remove burrs. Available in several grit sizes for both coarse and fine grinding.
Perfect for quick deburring and detail adjustment in the field.
Protects the rail after grinding and prevents it from losing its sharpness.
To keep the steel clean from rust, dirt and discoloration.
We are happy to help you choose the right equipment based on your rails and ice conditions.
