Avalanche kit

Avalanche kit for top tours and off-piste

An avalanche kit combines an avalanche transceiver, avalanche shovel and avalanche probe in one package – the basic equipment for buddy rescue in avalanche terrain. At Outdoor Buddies you will find avalanche packages for those who are getting their first piece of equipment or want to update what you already use.

The three parts of the kite have different tasks:

Avalanche transmitter: Transmits a signal and can be switched to search mode to find other avalanche transmitters.

Avalanche probe: Used to locate the buried person more accurately after searching with avalanche transmitters.

Avalanche shovel: Used to dig the person out of the avalanche snow.

Compare the weight of the packages, the transmitter features and how easy the equipment is to handle. Everyone in the group needs their own avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe in avalanche terrain. Combine the equipment with avalanche training, regular practice and thoughtful route choices.
