Lifesystems Ultralight Survival Shelter 4 is an ultralight emergency shelter and windbag for groups of up to four people. It provides quick shelter when the weather turns bad and can also be used for planned breaks in rain, wind or cold.
Made from siliconized 20D nylon, the cover weighs only 310 grams. The compact pack volume makes it a valuable piece of safety equipment for hiking, mountaineering, skiing and other activities where the weather can change quickly.
When the group gathers inside the shelter, it creates a warmer and more protected environment compared to sitting directly exposed to the elements. The shelter accommodates four people and can be used to wait for better weather, help an injured person or take a protected break.
The simple design is quick to unfold and easy to pack back up after use.
The lightweight 20D siliconized nylon shell has a water column of 3,000 millimeters. Waterproof seat panels protect against damp ground, while the ventilation opening helps air circulation when multiple people are inside.
Reflective details increase visibility in the dark and in bad weather. The integrated stuff sack is attached to the cover and reduces the risk of it being lost.

Unfold the shelter and let the group sit inside with the waterproof panels underneath them. Keep the ventilation opening clear and check regularly that the air circulation is working.
Never use a stove, burner, candle or other open flame inside the shelter. The product is a temporary emergency and rest shelter and does not replace a tent or other equipment for planned overnight stays. Dry the shelter thoroughly before packing it away after use.
