Nordic since 1901

Founded in 1901, Northern Feather was the first Danish company to focus 100% on down and feathers. From simple trading to the development of own products such as duvets, comforters and pillows, Northern Feather developed into one of the world's leading players in the down and feather industry.

In 1967, Nordisk Freizeit was founded as a subsidiary of Northern Feather with a focus on the growing outdoor market. During the 70s and 80s, Nordisk played a key role in building the still new European outdoor sector, through its own companies in Germany, Denmark, Sweden and the UK and under the Caravan brand. In the coming years, Nordisk and Caravan became major players in the industry and were recognized for their innovative and highly fashionable products.

In 1991, we changed our brand to Nordisk, which is true to our history and heritage. Nordisk is still a European brand, but in recent years we have also expanded outside the European continent and now you can also find Nordisk products in distant countries such as Japan and Korea.
