The OMM Halo Smock is an ultralight, waterproof running anorak designed for trail running, ultras and fast-paced mountain adventures. Weighing only around 95 grams and packing volume equivalent to a tennis ball, it's easy to carry for protection when the weather can change quickly.
The waterproof Point Zero H2O® fabric, taped seams and protective hood provide a complete shell in a minimalist format. The smock construction with a half-length zip further reduces weight and makes the jacket particularly suitable for runners who prioritize light weight and small pack volume.
The technical two-layer material has a water column of 10,000 mm and protects against rain and wind during running and other intense activities. The minimal seams are taped to prevent water from penetrating through the construction.
A rated breathability of 10,000 g/m²/24h helps moisture escape through the material, and the half-length YKK® AquaGuard zipper can also be opened for extra ventilation when the intensity increases.
The Halo Smock is stripped down to keep the weight as low as possible. The jacket lacks pockets and unnecessary details, which contributes to the very low weight and allows it to be compressed to about the same size as a tennis ball.
The elastic hood has a protective visor and stays in place without cumbersome adjustment systems. Extended cuffs with thumb holes provide extra protection over the hands, while reflective logos improve visibility in low light.
The extended back with Dynamic Droptail provides extra coverage and helps the jacket stay in place when running with a running vest or backpack. The hem can be adjusted to reduce the risk of the smock riding up during activity.
The construction works particularly well when the jacket needs to be quickly taken out when the weather changes and then packed back down when the rain has passed.
The waterproof construction, hood and taped seams make the Halo Smock suitable as a mandatory shell garment for many trail and ultra races. Requirements may vary between organizers and races, so always check the current equipment list before starting.

The OMM Halo Smock is an ultra-lightweight, waterproof shell in men's/unisex sizes. The pullover model has a half-zip and is pulled over the head, making it extra important to have enough space over the chest and shoulders.
Use the table below to find the right size based on your body measurements.
| Size | Chest circumference | Waist circumference | Body length |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 80–86 cm | 70–76 cm | 155–162 cm |
| S | 86–92 cm | 76–81 cm | 162–173 cm |
| M | 92–102 cm | 81–86cm | 173–183 cm |
| L | 102–110 cm | 86–92 cm | 178–188 cm |
| XL | 110–117cm | 92–97 cm | 185–193 cm |
The measurements in the table are body measurements, not measurements of the garment itself.
The Halo Smock has a straight, unisex fit that is suitable for running. It may run a little small, especially if your chest measurement is close to the upper limit of the size or if you want to wear a midlayer underneath.
The ultra-light shell material has limited stretch. Since the garment lacks a full-length zipper, there also needs to be enough room for the smock to be easily pulled over the head and shoulders.
Measure directly against the body or over the layers to be worn under the smock. Keep the measuring tape horizontal and close to the body without pulling.
Measure around the widest part of your chest or bust, under your arms and over your shoulder blades.
Measure around your natural waist, usually where your upper body is at its narrowest. Do not tighten your stomach or pull the tape measure tight.
Measure your height without shoes, from the floor to the highest point of your head.
Try on the smock with the layers you plan to wear underneath. The correct size means:
A size that is too small will be difficult to put on and restrict freedom of movement. A smock that is too large, on the other hand, can flap in the wind and impair the running-friendly fit.
