The OMM Halo Pant Womens are ultralight, waterproof shell pants for women , developed for trail running, mountain running and competitions where light weight and packability are essential . Weighing only about 80 grams , the pants can be packed down to the size of a tennis ball , making them perfect as mandatory weather protection in your backpack – until the weather turns.

Made from PointZero H20® , a 2-layer waterproof and breathable fabric , with fully taped seams in a slim construction for maximum performance at minimal weight, the pants are fully race-compliant and designed to perform when you need them, without feeling like you're in a pack when you don't.

With a water column of 10,000 mm and breathability of 10,000 g/m²/24h, the Halo Pant provides balanced protection against rain and wind, adapted for high-intensity activity in mixed conditions. The pant has a women's-specific fit with pre-bent knees , which allows unhindered movement when running, scrambling and technical terrain.

The wide, elastic waistband makes the pants comfortable even during extended wear, while the raised back panel helps maintain a tight seal between jacket and pants under a running vest or backpack. Velcro adjustments at the leg ends make it easy to put on and take off over shoes, and reflective details increase visibility in low light conditions.

The measurements refer to body measurements. Choose primarily based on hip circumference and use body length and inner leg length as supplementary measurements.

How is the OMM Halo Pant Womens sized?

The Halo Pant Womens has a women's specific running fit with articulated knees. Since the shell fabric is not as stretchy as a pair of running tights, the pant should not be tight across the hips, seat or thighs.

The fit should be roomy enough for a thin layer underneath, but still close enough to avoid fluttering and excess material. The wide elastic waistband and raised back help the pants stay in place during movement and backpacking.

Our size recommendation

  • Normally choose the size that corresponds to your hip circumference.
  • If you are between two sizes, we recommend the larger one.
  • Choose a larger size if the pants are to be worn over insulating tights or a thicker base layer.
  • Choose your normal size if you will mainly wear it over thin running tights or shorts.
  • If hip measurement and body length correspond to different sizes, you should prioritize the hip measurement.
  • The legs are adapted for running and should not form large folds above the shoes.

How do you measure?

Hip circumference

Stand with your feet together and measure around the widest part of your hips and seat. Keep the measuring tape horizontal without pulling it tight.

Inseam length

Measure from the crotch along the inside of the leg down to the ankle. You can also measure the corresponding seam on a pair of pants that are the right length.

Body length

Measure your height without shoes. Use the length as a guide as leg to torso proportions may vary.

Try with the right stock

Try the shell pants over the tights, shorts or underwear you would normally wear. Do deep squats, high knee lifts and long strides.

If the pants are to be used as mandatory competition equipment, you should also check that they can be quickly put on over shoes and other clothing. Use the Velcro adjustment at the ankles to fine-tune the opening.

Check the fit

The right size means that:

  • The waistband sits securely without cutting in.
  • the pants are not tight over the hips, seat or thighs
  • the raised back panel covers your lower back when you bend forward
  • the articulated knee parts end up above the knees
  • you can take out the running step and lift your knees without hindrance
  • the leg doesn't pull when you bend or step up
  • the legs do not get stuck in the shoes or form large folds
  • Underneath tights fit without restricting movement

If the fabric is tight across the seat, the waistband is pulled down, or the knees are restricted, you should choose a larger size. If the pants slide at the waist and have a lot of excess material around the hips and thighs, a smaller size may provide better function.
