The Montane Unisex Minimus Nano Pull Over Waterproof Pants are Montane's lightest and most packable waterproof pants , developed for fast-paced mountain adventures, trail running and competition use where every gram counts. Weighing only around 100 grams (size M) , they are designed to be easily carried in a running vest or back pocket as emergency protection in case of rapid weather changes.

The pants are built with PETRICHOR TECHNOLOGY™ 2.5-layer membrane , an extremely lightweight and durable PU laminate that provides full waterproof protection (15,000 mm water column) while maintaining high breathability ( 15,000 g/m²/24 h MVTR ). The thin 20D tricot surface and internal mesh print protect the membrane, maintain comfort next to the skin and contribute to impressive packability. All treated with PFAS-free, PFC-free DWR for lower environmental impact.

The minimalist pullover design is all about function at high speeds. A lightweight, elasticated waist provides a secure fit without unnecessary weight, while YKK NATULON® ¼-length side leg zippers make the pants quick to put on and take off – even over shoes. Articulated knees improve range of motion, and elasticated leg cuffs help keep out rain and wind.

Minimus Nano Pants are specifically designed to meet the mandatory equipment requirements for ultra-marathons , without burdening you with more material than is absolutely necessary. They pack down to about the size of an apple in the included stuff sack and are the obvious choice for runners who prioritize minimal weight and maximum safety . The pants are not intended for heavy backpacking, but are perfect for racing, training and fast alpine tours.

The Montane Minimus Nano Pull Over Waterproof Pants are ultra-lightweight and packable shell pants with a unisex fit. The model features Trim Fit , which means a body-hugging fit developed for trail running and high-paced activities.

The pants are intended to be worn over running tights, shorts or a thin base layer, for example. Use your body measurements in the table and not just the size you normally wear in men's or women's clothing.

Size chart

The waist and hip measurements are body measurements. The model is available in one and the same leg length.

How do you measure?

Waist: Measure around the natural waist without tightening the tape measure.

Hip width: Measure around the widest part of the hips and seat with your feet together.

Inseam length: Measure from the crotch along the inside of the leg down to the ankle. It is easiest to compare with a pair of trousers that have a good leg length.

Please take measurements over the tights or pants you plan to wear under the shell pants.

What size should I choose?

Use the waist measurement as a starting point and then check the hip measurement. If the measurements correspond to different sizes, you should normally choose the size according to the largest measurement.

  • Choose the size according to the table if the pants are to be worn over shorts, running tights or a thin base layer.
  • Choose the larger size if you are between two sizes or want to use a thicker layer underneath.
  • If your waist corresponds to one size but your hips are one size larger, choose the larger size.
  • Don't automatically assume your usual men's or women's size - this model uses a product-specific unisex size.
  • Please check that the 81 cm inseam length fits, as the model is not offered in separate short or long leg lengths.

The fit should be relatively snug but not restrict your stride or movement over the knee and hip. If the pants feel tight when you lift your knee or take a long stride, you should choose a larger size.
