Getting the fuel right can make a big difference to your whole day, so it's important to consider your diet before, during and after your sport if you want to avoid peaks and troughs in energy levels.

For sessions lasting more than 90 minutes, it is important to start refueling from the beginning. Eat little & often and stay hydrated.

For moderate-intensity exercise, you should aim to consume 45g-60g of carbohydrates per hour - versus 45g for low-intensity exercise and increasing to 60g-90g for higher-intensity workouts.
