The Sea To Summit Spark Down Sleeping Bag 7°C is an ultra-light and highly compressible down sleeping bag for warm summer nights, cabin stays and adventures where every gram counts. The Regular model weighs only 363 grams and compresses to a volume of approximately 2 liters, making it particularly interesting for lightweight hiking, bikepacking, fastpacking and multisport.
The sleeping bag is filled with RDS-certified goose down with 850+ fillpower. The down has Sea to Summit's PFAS-free, water-repellent Ultra-Dry Down treatment, while the thin outer fabric has a DWR treatment to help protect against condensation and light moisture.
The product name's temperature of 7°C refers to the sleeping bag's ISO Lower Limit. This is the lower temperature limit that a warm sleeper usually uses when choosing a sleeping bag.
The ISO Comfort value is 11°C and is a better benchmark for freezing users and those who want a greater margin of safety. Spark 7°C is therefore primarily developed for warm summer nights and mild conditions.
Temperature specifications are indicative and actual comfort is affected by factors such as the sleeping pad's insulation, upholstery, humidity, wind, tent and individual cold tolerance. Always choose a warmer sleeping bag if the temperature may drop below the stated comfort level.
Spark is filled with 90/10 goose down with a minimum fill power of 850. The high down bounce provides a lot of insulation in relation to the weight of the filling and allows the sleeping bag to be compressed to a very small size.
The down is certified according to the Responsible Down Standard, RDS, and treated with non-PFAS Ultra-Dry Down. The treatment helps the down absorb less moisture and dry faster than untreated down. However, the sleeping bag is not waterproof and should always be transported in a waterproof stuff sack or backpack.
Both the outer fabric and lining are made of thin and lightweight 10D nylon. The lining has high air permeability and feels soft against the body, while the outer fabric has a PFAS-free DWR water-repellent treatment.
The hood and anatomically shaped foot box have an extra water-repellent material that helps protect the down against condensation from the tent fabric. The thin construction contributes to the low weight but requires careful handling around sharp objects, zippers and Velcro.
The Spark 7°C uses sewn-through down channels. The shell and lining are joined together between the channels, which reduces the amount of fabric and helps keep weight and pack volume down.
The construction is well suited for this sleeping bag's use in mild temperatures. For colder nights, one of the warmer Spark models with insulating box construction or hybrid construction is recommended.
The ergonomic mummy shape reduces the amount of excess material and air that needs to be heated, while the sleeping bag is shaped to provide enough room to move around during the night.
A technically shaped hood, anatomical foot box and insulating zip channel help keep warmth in. Regular is recommended for users up to 185 centimeters, while Long is suitable for users up to 198 centimeters.
The half-length YKK #5 zipper saves weight and reduces pack volume. A special zipper plow helps to move the fabric out of the way and reduces the risk of the zipper getting caught in the thin material.
The zipper can be opened for ventilation, but does not go all the way down to the foot box. The sleeping bag cannot therefore be opened completely and used as a flat blanket. The half-length zipper also means that this model cannot be connected to another sleeping bag.

Store the sleeping bag loosely and uncompressed in a dry and well-ventilated place. The compression bag should only be used during transport, as prolonged compression can reduce the resilience of the down.
Air out your sleeping bag after use and make sure it is completely dry before packing it away. Always follow the washing instructions on the product label. Use a special down detergent and avoid regular detergent, fabric softener and dry cleaning.
After washing, the sleeping bag should be tumble dried gently at a low temperature with clean dryer balls until the down is completely dry and has regained its elasticity.
