Sea To Summit Selfinflate Mat Camp Plus Large is an extra thick and spacious self-inflating sleeping pad for those who prioritize comfort, insulation and durability. The 7.5 centimeter thick foam core provides effective cushioning against uneven ground and reduces the risk of hips and shoulders being pushed through the surface.
The Large model measures 198 × 64 centimeters and is suitable for taller users and those who want more space during the night. With a tested R-value of 4.3, the sleeping pad is designed for use throughout most of the year.
Camp Plus is twice as thick as many simpler self-inflating sleeping pads. The 7.5 centimeter high construction provides a softer and more forgiving surface for both back and side sleepers.
The firmness can be adjusted by filling or releasing air, allowing you to choose between a firmer surface with more support and a softer feel that better conforms to your body.
The foam core uses Sea to Summit's horizontal Delta Core™ technology. Large triangular channels remove more than 40 percent of the foam compared to a completely solid core, reducing weight and pack volume.
The top and bottom of the foam are left intact. This contributes to even insulation across the sleeping surface and creates a stable bond between the foam core and the outer fabric.
The sleeping pad's R-value of 4.3 is tested according to ASTM F3340-18. The R-value describes how well the pad prevents heat loss to the ground - a higher value means better insulation.
The Camp Plus Large can be used for four seasons in many conditions, but is not intended for the coldest winter ground. In severe cold, it may need to be combined with a foam underlay or replaced with a sleeping pad with a higher R-value. Sleeping bag, clothing, ground conditions, and individual cold tolerance also affect actual sleeping comfort.
When the valve is opened, the foam expands and automatically draws air in. Then, you inflate with a few breaths to achieve the desired firmness.
The reversible multi-function valve has high air flow and separate functions for inflation, fine-tuning and deflation. In the deflation position, air is released without being sucked back in while the mat is rolled up.
The outer fabric is made of robust and abrasion-resistant 75D polyester with extruded TPU lamination. The construction is adapted for frequent camping, road trips, paddling and shorter trips where comfort is more important than minimal pack weight.
With a net weight of approximately 1,185 grams, Camp Plus Large is primarily a comfort-oriented sleeping pad. For longer hikes where every gram counts, there are lighter options.
The PillowLock™ system works with compatible Sea to Summit Aeros pillows. The self-adhesive attachment points help keep the pillow on the sleeping pad as you move throughout the night.

Unroll the sleeping pad and open the valve. Let the foam core expand and draw air in. Then blow in more air until the pad has the desired firmness and close the valve.
When using for the first time or after a long period of rolled-up storage, the foam cells may need help expanding. In this case, inflate the sleeping pad manually and leave it inflated for a while.
Wipe the sleeping pad with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Let it dry completely before packing it away. Do not machine wash or tumble dry the pad.
For long-term storage, it should be rolled up with the valve open. Avoid sharp objects, open flames and prolonged exposure to strong sunlight.
