The Lifesystems Thermal Blanket is a lightweight and compact emergency blanket for hiking, running, skiing, cycling and other outdoor activities. The metallized surface reflects and helps retain up to 90 percent of your body's radiated heat when you suffer an injury, are forced to wait for help or are surprised by rapidly dropping temperatures.

The emergency blanket weighs only 55 grams and takes up minimal space in your backpack, running vest or first aid kit. When unfolded, it measures 210 × 140 centimeters and provides space to wrap a person.

Reflects body heat

The metallized polyester material helps reduce heat loss by reflecting the body's radiated heat back towards the user. For best effect, the blanket should be wrapped around the body and kept as closed as possible, while leaving the face and airways free.

The Lifesystems Thermal Blanket is intended as temporary protection in an emergency situation. It is not a substitute for warm clothing, sleeping bags, windbreaks, or professional medical care.

Wind and waterproof protection

The material is both wind and waterproof and helps protect an injured or chilled person from the elements. The flexible construction makes the blanket easy to shape around the body or use as a temporary shelter from rain and wind.

The reflective and highly visible surface can also make it easier for rescue personnel to detect the user. The material is also radar reflective.
