Lifesystems Heatshield Thermal Blanket Double is a lightweight and reusable emergency blanket that can accommodate two people. The heat-reflecting material reflects and retains 90 percent of the body's radiated heat while reducing the cooling effect of wind.
The Double version measures 250 x 150 cm but weighs only about 98 grams, making it easy to carry in your backpack, running vest, car or safety gear for hiking, trail running, skiing, cycling and other outdoor activities.
The generous size allows the blanket to be wrapped around two people or provide extra coverage for one person and their equipment. The material helps limit heat loss in the event of cold, wind, rain, injury or a longer involuntary break.
The blanket is made of metallized low-density polyethylene, which is both windproof and waterproof. The construction is also tear-resistant and can be reused as long as the material is not damaged.

Unfold the blanket and wrap it around the people so that as much of their bodies as possible are covered. Keep faces and airways clear. If possible, also insulate from cold or wet ground with, for example, sleeping pads, backpacks or dry clothes.
The blanket does not produce its own heat and does not replace insulating clothing, sleeping bags or professional care. Contact the emergency services in case of suspected hypothermia, serious injury or other emergency situation. In Sweden, call 112.
