Crispi Futura XP Pro GTX® is Crispi's most advanced ski touring boot and represents the next generation in modern ski touring. Developed for the Rottefella Xplore binding system , it combines exceptional comfort with high precision, stability and freedom of movement - both uphill and downhill.

The boot is made of water-repellent full-grain leather and equipped with an insulated GORE-TEX® membrane , which keeps your feet dry and warm even on long days in demanding winter conditions. With the help of the Crispi® Skeleton Frame system, you get a powerful cuff support with two lateral support points that provide maximum torsional rigidity and precise control - without restricting the natural movement of the foot.

The innovative Rottefella Xplore sole provides excellent foot roll and a natural gait, while the SpringPin technology prevents snow from accumulating in the sole. The pivot point is placed closer to the foot, which provides better mobility, more efficient steps and high comfort during long journeys.

This is the ski boot for those who want top-touring-like control in a touring ski system , without compromising on comfort.

The Crispi Futura XP Pro is a stable unisex ski boot for technical ski touring with Rottefella Xplore. The model is sold in full EU sizes from 36 to 47. As it is perceived by some users as spacious, the size should be chosen according to the measured foot length, not only according to your usual shoe size.

Foot length is the measured length of the foot. Mondopoint is the size reference that Crispi connects to the respective ski boot size.

What is the size of the Crispi Futura XP Pro?

Several retailers and users describe the Futura XP Pro as roomy and sometimes about an EU size larger than expected. At the same time, there are users who do not recommend a general size down. The difference is affected by foot length, foot volume, width and how much toe space you need.

Therefore, use the following order:

  1. Measure both feet with the ski sock you will use.
  2. Start with the size that corresponds to the measurement of the longer foot.
  3. Compare with the size below if the ski boot feels long or if the heel moves.
  4. Keep the larger size if your toes reach forward or are squeezed together in the smaller one.

Example: A foot measuring 275 mm corresponds to EU 43 in Crispi's table. If you normally wear EU 44 in everyday shoes, EU 43 may therefore be the right size in the Futura XP Pro - provided that your toes have enough room.

The stiff collar, Skeleton Frame support, and ankle buckle can keep the foot stable, but they can't compensate for a boot that's too long.

If the foot measurement falls between two sizes

Futura XP Pro is only sold in full sizes. If the measurement corresponds to a half size in Crispi's full chart, you should normally try the size above first.

Example: A foot of approximately 260 mm corresponds to EU 41½. Try EU 42 first, but compare with EU 41 if you have a narrow or low-volume foot and experience a clear heel strike.

The full-grain leather may shape slightly over the width and volume of the foot after use. However, the ski boot will not become longer.

How to measure your foot

  1. Put on the technical ski sock you intend to use.
  2. Place a piece of paper on the floor with the short side against a wall.
  3. Stand with your heel lightly against the wall and full body weight on your foot.
  4. Mark in front of the longest toe.
  5. Measure the distance from the wall to the mark.
  6. Repeat with the other foot and use the longest measurement.

Crispi's size chart is designed with technical socks in mind, so don't add extra centimeters to your foot measurement.

Which socks are suitable?

Use a thin or medium-thick technical ski sock made of wool or functional material. A very thick sock takes up extra space around the foot and can impair blood circulation.

Always measure and try on the ski boot with the same type of sock that will be used during the trip.

This is how Crispi Futura XP Pro should sit

A correct size should provide:

  • Stable heel when you bend your knees and put weight on the ski boot.
  • Sufficient toe space without the foot sliding forward.
  • No constant contact between the toes and the leading edge.
  • Even support around the midfoot, instep and ankle.
  • No sharp pressure points from the ankle buckle or stiff collar.
  • Good control without restricting blood circulation.

First lace up the boot evenly and then adjust the ankle buckle and the strap at the top. The buckle should stabilize the foot, not press hard on the ankle.

Walk around indoors and simulate the ski step. Also bend your knees forward and to the sides to check that your heel stays in place and that your toes don't hit.

Binding compatibility

The Crispi Futura XP Pro is developed for the Rottefella Xplore and is only compatible with bindings within the Xplore system.

The ski boot is not compatible with:

  • NNN BC
  • Regular NNN
  • Prolink
  • Turnamic
  • SNS
  • Traditional 75mm bindings
  • NTN telemark bindings

Please check that the skis have a Rottefella Xplore binding before ordering the boots.
