Lundhags Abisku Expedition Xplore is a warm and robust ski touring boot for Rottefella Xplore bindings. The 25 cm high shaft, wide fit and removable inner boot in 5 mm wool felt make the model well suited for cold winter tours and longer expeditions.

The ski boot is constructed according to Lundhags' classic shell principle. The Perwanger leather shaft is combined with an insulating Certech 5.0 cellular rubber lower part to provide stability, protection and warmth in demanding winter conditions.

Stable ski boot for demanding mountain tours

Abisku Expedition Xplore has a robust construction that surrounds and stabilizes the foot while distributing the pressure from the lacing across the boot.

The high shaft provides support when you're backpacking, pulling a sled, or moving around in hilly terrain. The wide fit provides more room for the foot and a custom ski sock.

Removable inner shoe in 5 mm wool felt

The removable 5 mm wool felt liner provides effective insulation on cold winter days. Integrated Heel Fit Control, HFC, helps keep the heel in place and contributes to a more stable fit.

The liner can be removed for separate drying, which is especially practical during multi-day tours. It can also be replaced when worn.

Certech 5.0 and Perwanger leather

The shaft is made of durable Perwanger suede leather. The lower part consists of robust Certech 5.0 cellular rubber, which insulates against the cold from below and provides protection in snow and wet winter conditions.

The combination of leather shaft, cellular rubber sole and removable inner boot makes the ski boot easy to dry and maintain during longer trips.

Rottefella Xplore binding system

The Abisku Expedition Xplore is intended for Rottefella Xplore bindings only.

The ski boot is not compatible with Rottefella NNN BC, regular NNN bindings or NN75 bindings. Always check which binding system your skis have before ordering.

The difference compared to Lundhags Abisku Xplore

The Abisku Expedition Xplore has a 25 cm high shaft, a wide fit and a 5 mm wool felt liner. It is developed for those who prioritize extra warmth, space and support during longer or colder winter trips.

The regular Abisku Xplore has a lower 20 cm shaft, a regular fit and a thinner inner boot made of 3 mm wool felt. It provides greater mobility and is an option for more varied ski touring.

Fit and size selection

Abisku Expedition Xplore has a wide fit. Measure the length of your foot and compare with Lundhags size guide before choosing a size. Also take into account the type of ski sock you plan to use.

Don't automatically choose a larger size to accommodate multiple thick socks. A boot that is too big can provide poor heel grip and control, while a boot that is too small can restrict blood circulation and make your foot feel cold.

Compatible replacement inner boot

Lundhags lists the Guide Expedition Liner Pro as a compatible replacement liner for the Abisku Expedition Xplore Ski Boot.

The regular Guide Expedition Liner is only specified for the Guide Expedition 75 and should therefore not be selected for this model.

Care instructions

Remove the liners after use and let them dry separately. Avoid placing the ski boots directly against a hot radiator, stove or other strong heat source.

Clean the leather and cellular rubber after the trip. Treat the leather parts regularly with a shoe care product that is suitable for Lundhags ski boots and ankle boots.
