Foot length is the measured length of the foot. Mondopoint is the size reference that Crispi connects to the respective ski boot size.

What is the size of the Crispi Futura XP?

The Futura XP is described as normal in size with a normal last. Therefore, start with your usual EU size, but always check your choice against the foot length in the table.

The model features CRISPI® Instant Fit, which is designed to provide an anatomical and relatively precise fit right out of the box. The lacing allows the volume of the ski boot to be adjusted over the midfoot and ankle.

Size perceptions for Futura XP Pro should not automatically be transferred to Futura XP. They are different models with different support and closure systems, and regular Futura XP is generally described as normal in size.

Example: A foot measuring 275 mm corresponds to EU 43. If you normally wear EU 43, this is therefore the natural size to start with.

If the foot measurement falls between two sizes

Futura XP is sold in full sizes. If your foot measurement falls between two sizes, you should normally try the larger one first.

Example: A foot measuring approximately 260 mm corresponds to EU 41½ in Crispi's full chart. As the model is sold in full sizes, EU 42 should be the first size to try.

Also compare with the size below if:

  • The heel moves clearly at the ski step.
  • The foot slides forward despite correct lacing.
  • You have a narrow or low-volume foot.
  • The boot feels unnecessarily long in front of the toes.

Don't choose the smaller size if your toes reach forward or get pinched when you bend your knees. The full grain leather may mold slightly to the width and volume of your foot, but the boot will not become longer.

How to measure your foot

  1. Put on the technical ski sock you intend to use.
  2. Place a piece of paper on the floor with the short side against a wall.
  3. Stand with your heel lightly against the wall and full body weight on your foot.
  4. Mark in front of the longest toe.
  5. Measure the distance between the wall and the marking.
  6. Repeat with the other foot and use the longest measurement.

Crispi's size chart is designed with technical socks in mind. Therefore, do not add extra centimeters to your foot measurement when using the recommended foot length column.

Which socks are suitable?

Use a thin or medium-thick technical ski sock made of wool or functional material. A very thick sock can make the ski boot tighter and impair blood circulation.

Always measure and try on the ski boot with the same type of sock that you plan to use during the trip.

This is how Crispi Futura XP should sit

A correct size should provide:

  • Stable heel without any obvious play at the ski step.
  • Enough space to move your toes.
  • No constant contact between the toes and the leading edge.
  • Even support around the midfoot and ankle.
  • No sharp pressure points from the lacing.
  • Good control without restricting blood circulation.

Lace the boot evenly from the forefoot up towards the ankle. Avoid tightening too much at one point to compensate for a boot that is too big.

Walk around indoors and simulate the ski step. Bend your knees forward and to the sides to check heel grip, toe space and stability.

Binding compatibility

The Crispi Futura XP is developed for the Rottefella Xplore and is only compatible with bindings within the Xplore system.

The ski boot is not compatible with:

  • NNN BC
  • Regular NNN
  • Prolink
  • Turnamic
  • SNS
  • Traditional 75mm bindings
  • NTN telemark bindings

Please check that the skis have a Rottefella Xplore binding before ordering the boots.
