The OMM Trail Shoe – Black/Black (Regular width) is a fast, precise and versatile trail shoe for runners who move efficiently over mixed terrain – from runnable trails to more technical sections. The shoe is designed to provide confidence at high speeds , with a lightweight and responsive running feel combined with stability, grip and protection when the terrain becomes more demanding.

Weighing just 246-249 grams (UK 8) and featuring a 27mm stack height with 6mm drop , the Trail Shoe offers a balanced platform that feels stable at speed without being overbuilt or too soft. The result is a direct and responsive running experience that lets you keep pushing even as conditions change underfoot.

The outsole is equipped with Vibram Megagrip , combined with Vibram Litebase and Vibram Traction Lug , which provides reliable grip on both wet and dry surfaces while keeping the weight down. 4 mm studs provide an optimal balance between grip and runnability on varying surfaces. Underfoot, a rock plate protects against rocks and sharp edges without removing ground contact.

The Ripstop nylon upper is durable, quick-drying and breathable , and together with the X-Lock fit system, it provides a secure and close fit even in technical terrain. The OMM Trail Shoe is a unisex trail shoe with a precise and stable fit for running on a variety of surfaces. The shoe is listed in UK sizes and comes in two width options: Regular and Regular+ .

For the safest size selection, we recommend that you measure both feet and start from the longest foot.

Size chart

The foot length in the table is OMM's recommended foot size, not the inside size of the shoe.

Regular or Regular+?

Both options have the same length and basic foot shape. Regular+ provides more room over and around the forefoot without making the shoe longer.

Regular is suitable for those who want a close, secure fit with maximum precision on technical trails.

Regular+ has the same length but about 1mm extra width and 3.5mm more circumference across the forefoot. Choose Regular+ if you have a wider or bulkier forefoot, need more toe room, or want extra comfort during longer sessions.

If Regular feels too tight across the forefoot, you should first choose Regular+ in the same size, not automatically a longer shoe.

How is the OMM Trail Shoe sized?

The model is generally perceived as normal in length. Start with your usual UK size, but always compare with foot length as EU conversions can differ between shoe brands.

Choose the larger size if:

• your foot length falls between two sizes
• the toes are close to the front edge of the shoe
• you use thicker running socks
• you want more margin when your feet swell during long workouts

Choose Regular+ instead of a larger size if the length feels right but the shoe presses on the forefoot.

How to measure your foot

1. Place a piece of paper against a straight wall.
2. Put on the socks you intend to use with the shoes.
3. Stand on the paper with your heel lightly against the wall and full weight on your foot.
4. Mark in front of the longest toe.
5. Measure the distance from the edge of the paper to the mark.
6. Repeat with the other foot, starting from the longest measurement.

To check the width, mark the two widest points of the forefoot and measure the distance straight between the marks.

Check the fit

The correct size should:

• give some room for movement in front of the longest toe
• allow the toes to move without pressure from the sides
• keep the heel stable without it lifting
• sit securely around the midfoot without numbness or pressure points
• prevent the foot from sliding forward on downhill slopes
• feel stable even when moving sideways on uneven ground

Try the shoes later in the day, when your feet are usually a little bigger, and with the socks you use for trail running.
