The Altra Olympus 275 HiLo for women is designed for runners looking for high cushioning, durability and reliable grip for technical trails and long days on the trail.
The updated Altra EGO™ MAX midsole provides a soft and stable feel underfoot. With 33 mm of cushioning under both the heel and forefoot, the shoe protects against rocks, roots and hard surfaces without building in any height difference between heel and toe.
The woven MATRYX® upper wraps the foot, providing a durable construction for demanding terrain. The material is designed to keep the foot stable through the midfoot while the Original FootShape™ provides plenty of room for the toes.
Underneath the shoe is Vibram® Megagrip with TractionLug™ , which provides grip and stability on a variety of surfaces. The combination is suitable for technical mountain trails, forest paths, gravel, roots and wet or dry rocky areas.
The Olympus 275 HiLo is a good choice for ultra running, long trail runs and competitions where comfort, protection and grip need to work for many hours.

The updated midsole in the Altra EGO™ MAX is designed to combine soft cushioning with a stable feel on technical surfaces.
The cushioning provides protection during long runs and helps smooth out hard impacts from rocks, gravel and roots. The high sole platform is especially suitable when comfort and protection are prioritized over maximum ground feel.
The Vibram® Megagrip outsole provides reliable contact on both wet and dry surfaces. TractionLug™ complements the rubber compound with a dual lug design that improves grip and stability on technical terrain.
The outsole works well on:
Rocky mountain paths
Wet and dry rock outcrops
Forest trails
Roots
Packed soil
Gravel roads
Mixed trail surfaces
The upper is made from a continuous woven MATRYX® material . The construction provides a durable and supportive upper for long distances and technical terrain.
The material helps keep the foot in place through the midfoot, which is especially important on steep climbs, fast descents and uneven terrain.
The Olympus 275 HiLo uses the Original FootShape™ , Altra's roomiest fit.
The wider shape gives your toes room to spread out while keeping your foot stable through the midfoot. This is especially appreciated during long runs and ultra races, when feet can swell.
Original FootShape™ means a spacious and anatomically shaped toe box. It is not the same as a traditional wide size.
The shoe has as much material under the heel as under the forefoot, which gives 0 mm drop .
If you are used to running shoes with a higher drop, you should get used to the model gradually:
Start with shorter and calmer sessions.
Vary your regular running shoes.
Increase distance and altitude gradually.
Wait with really long sessions until your body has gotten used to it.
Always test the shoes thoroughly before competing.
