The OMM Single Buckle is a single-adjustment 20mm replacement buckle for repairing or customizing OMM backpacks and other outdoor gear. The buckle has a split attachment bracket that allows it to be mounted on a sewn-in strap loop without having to open the seam.

The other side is used for an adjustable 20 mm strap. The design is therefore suitable for equipment where the strap is fixed on one side of the buckle and should be able to be tightened or loosened on the other.

Single-adjust buckle for 20 mm strap

The Single Buckle has a fixed side and an adjustable side. The split fastening loop on the fixed side is threaded directly through an existing, sewn-in strap loop. On the other side, the loose strap is threaded through the buckle's adjustment.

The solution allows you to replace a damaged buckle without a sewing machine or special tools. Always measure the width of the strap before purchasing – this model is designed for 20 mm wide straps.

Quick repair in the field

Weighing around nine grams, the buckle takes up little space in a repair kit. It can be a valuable spare part during ultra races, hikes and longer expeditions where a broken buckle could otherwise affect the function of the backpack.

Single Buckle is developed for OMM equipment but also fits many other backpacks, bags and accessories with compatible 20 mm straps.

Mounting

Remove the broken buckle without damaging the strap or the sewn-on loop. Pass the split attachment loop through the fixed strap loop and check that the buckle is seated correctly.

Then thread the loose 20mm strap through the adjustable side in the same way it was installed in the original buckle. Close the buckle, tighten the strap and check the attachment carefully before using the equipment.
