OMM said they already made their warmest sleeping bag a year or two ago with the 233, but this time they really mean it! With 3 times the fill power of the lightest weight option, this is the sleeping bag for those who sleep cold or want to extend their camping season into the colder months.

Like all OMM sleeping bags, the 303 uses PrimaLoft® Cross-Core Gold Eco insulation, which works even when wet. A half-length zipper reduces cold spots and overall weight, while a snug, adjustable mummy-style hood helps trap maximum warmth. A tapered fit reduces dead air and the shaped foot box provides a more comfortable sleeping position.

Like all OMM sleeping bags, they take this high-quality insulation and map different weights per panel to ensure the best possible use of the fill. The base is filled with PrimaLoft® Cross-Core Gold Eco 133g/m2, while the top layer, above the sleeper, is 170g/2 (giving us 303g/m2 total in the name). By mapping the insulation in this way they are able to achieve such a low pack weight, there is no point in placing excess insulation (and therefore weight) under the sleeper, as the weight of their body will compress it and reduce its ability to trap air and insulate. Instead, OMM focuses on the warmth of the top sheet and leaves it up to you to decide which sleeping pad to use to insulate you from the ground.
