The Sea To Summit Ultralight Air Sleeping Mat - Large is a lightweight, spacious and compact inflatable sleeping mat for summer hiking, cycling and adventures where low pack weight is still important. The Large model measures 198 × 64 centimeters and provides both extra length and more space over the shoulders compared to the Regular version.
Despite the generous lying surface, the mat weighs only about 495 grams. The five-centimeter thick construction is based on Sea to Summit's Air Sprung Cells™, which distributes the body's weight across a large number of individual air cells.
With a length of 198 centimeters, the model is suitable for taller users and those who want more freedom of movement during the night. The width of 64 centimeters also provides more room for shoulders, arms and hips than the narrower Small and Regular models.
The extra sleeping surface means slightly higher weight and packing volume, but the Large still weighs significantly less than many traditional camping mats of a similar size.
The sleeping pad consists of a single layer of point-connected air cells. The cells can be compressed relatively independently of each other and therefore conform to the contours of your body when you lie on the pad.
The construction helps distribute pressure across the sleeping surface and provides support on uneven ground. The tapered shape reduces the amount of material at the foot end, helping to keep weight and pack size down.
The Ultralight Air Sleeping Mat is an uninsulated sleeping mat with an R-value of 1.1. It is primarily intended for warm conditions and overnight stays during the summer.
In low temperatures, winter camping or cold ground conditions, a sleeping pad with a higher R-value is needed. The pad can also be combined with an insulating foam pad, but for regular use in cold weather, an insulated model is a better choice.
The outer fabric consists of 30D/40D ripstop nylon with an airtight, liquid extruded TPU lamination. The construction is developed to provide low weight, good abrasion resistance and a stable joint between the fabric and the TPU layer.
The TPU lamination has an antimicrobial treatment that helps prevent the growth of microorganisms on the inside. The outside of the substrate also has a surface treatment that improves water resistance, reduces slipperiness and facilitates repairs with self-adhesive repair patches.
The low-profile multi-function valve has separate functions for inflation, fine-tuning and quick deflation. The check valve prevents air from escaping between pumps, while the fine-tuning allows small amounts of air to be released until the ground is at the desired firmness.
The included storage bag also functions as an Airstream™ pump bag, allowing you to quickly fill the base without blowing in large amounts of moist exhaled air.
The PillowLock™ system works with compatible Sea to Summit Aeros pillows. The self-adhesive attachment points help keep the pillow on the sleeping pad as you change sleeping positions throughout the night.

Roll out the sleeping pad on a surface that is free of sharp rocks, twigs and thorns. Connect the pump bag to the valve, fill it with air and then press the air into the pad. Repeat until the sleeping pad is filled.
Lie down on the mat and use the fine adjustment of the valve to release some air if you want a softer lying surface. When the mat is to be packed up, the deflation part of the valve opens completely, so that the air can be quickly squeezed out.
Wipe the sleeping pad with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Allow it to air dry completely before rolling it up. Do not machine wash or tumble dry the pad.
Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. Keep away from sharp objects, open flames and strong heat sources. Minor punctures can be repaired with the included adhesive patches.
