The Ortovox Haute Route 30 S is a technical ski backpack for top tours and longer ski tours. With 30 liters of packing volume, well-thought-out storage and a shortened carrying system, it is suitable for those who need space for their equipment and a backpack adapted for shorter backs.
The O-Flex-2 carrying system features an ergonomic design and an S-shaped stabilizer that helps distribute weight between the hips and shoulders. The load control straps allow you to pull the pack closer to the body, while the hip belt design provides a snug fit.
The main compartment can be opened via the back panel, making it easier to reach equipment further down in the backpack. A separate safety compartment keeps avalanche equipment organized and easily accessible. A hip belt pocket, map pocket and bright interior make it easy to organize smaller accessories.
Skis can be carried on the sides in an A-formation or diagonally across the backpack. There are also mounts for snowboards, snowshoes, ice axes, poles and crampons.
The rope attachment on the top allows you to attach or remove the rope without opening the main compartment. An integrated helmet net gives your helmet its own place on the outside of the backpack when not in use.

The S model is designed for women and men with shorter backs. The shoulder straps are shorter and narrower with a distinct S-shape, and the hip belt wings are shorter and conically shaped.
Ortovox gives a back length of approximately 36–44 cm as a guideline for its short carrying system. Measure from the top of the iliac crest to the prominent seventh cervical vertebra at the base of the neck. The measurement is a guide - please try the backpack with a pack on to assess the fit.
