Nordic Halland 2 Footprint
See our entire range from Nordisk here!
The Nordisk Halland 2 Footprint is a custom-made protective floor for the Nordisk Halland 2 PU and Halland 2 LW. It is placed under the tent and protects the regular tent floor against ground moisture, dirt, sand, stones, roots and other objects that can cause wear or punctures.
The footprint covers the entire ground area under the outer tent, including the vestibule. This also gives you a clean and waterproof surface outside the inner tent for shoes, backpacks, kitchen equipment and other gear.
A footprint creates an extra layer between the tent and the ground. The base takes direct contact with gravel, rocks, twigs and unevenness that can otherwise wear down the thinner floor of the tent.
This makes the footprint particularly useful for frequent camping, longer hikes and overnight stays on rocky, sandy or damp ground. By reducing wear and tear on the original floor, it can help extend the life of the tent.
The Nordisk Halland 2 Footprint is designed to fit the entire ground area of the outer tent and measures approximately 340 × 150 centimeters. This means that the shelter continues into the vestibule instead of just being under the sleeping area of the inner tent.
The covered vestibule provides a cleaner place to store shoes and equipment. It also makes it easier to pack and organize things without putting them directly on wet, muddy or dirty ground.
The material consists of durable 70D nylon with 190T weave density and a waterproof PU coating. The water column of 10,000 millimeters provides effective protection against moisture that is pressed up from the ground.
The footprint can also limit the amount of ground moisture that rises under the outer tent. This can contribute to less condensation and a drier climate in the sleeping area, especially when the tent is pitched on damp ground.
Article number 10901451 is adapted for Halland 2 tents in both PU and LW versions. Nordisk states that it fits all Halland 2 PU and Halland 2 LW models.
Always check the full model name of the tent before ordering. The footprint is model specific and should not be used as a general basis for other tent sizes.

Clear the tent site of sharp rocks, twigs and other objects. Lay out the footprint and align it with the shape and attachment points of the tent before erecting the tent on top.
Make sure the groundsheet is completely inside the edges of the flysheet. If any material protrudes, rainwater can collect on the footprint and be channeled under the tent floor.
If the footprint is wet or dirty when the tent is taken down, it can be packed separately to keep the rest of the tent and equipment cleaner.
Shake off soil, sand and other loose debris after use. If necessary, the surface can be wiped or rinsed with clean, lukewarm water.
Allow the footprint to dry completely before storing for extended periods. Avoid machine washing, tumble drying, harsh detergents and solvents as these can damage the PU coating.
Regularly check the material, seams and attachment points. Repair minor damage before it develops into larger tears.
