Airtrim is a moisture / heat exchanger that utilizes the moisture and heat of the exhaled air. Upon inhalation, the air in the filter is heated, thus protecting the airways from the cold.
Airtrim breathing mask is made of molded foam plastic that covers both nose and mouth. Therefore, Airtrim is extra comfortable and warming in comparison with other heat exchangers on the market.
The filters become damp during continuous use, so it is good to blow out the moisture at regular intervals with a strong exhalation.
Wet filters are fragile, always allow the mask and filter to air dry.
Feel free to bring dry spare filters for long training sessions and for longer mountain trips.
Airtrim is suitable for you who:
Is sensitive to cold air
Practices sports in cold weather
Works outdoors in wind and cold
Works in the freezing and refrigeration industry
Have asthma, carbon monoxide or suffer from angina
Airtrim is also excellent for training in ski tunnels where the air is often very dry.
Airtrim can also be used as a vital heat reserve in the event of an accident. It takes much longer to cool down with the mask on.
Sports, racing and asthma filters
With Airtrim breathing mask, two filters are delivered. A sports filter that is particularly suitable for winter training and a racing filter with lower air resistance that is suitable for harder training.
Airtrim is also available with asthma filters that are suitable for people who have particular difficulty with cold, for example people with asthma, charcoal or angina.
