Lundhags Norröra Rescue Line is a 24 meter long, floating rescue line for cross-country skating and other activities on natural ice. The weighted throwing bag is designed to provide a stable throw and glides easily over ice and snow.
The rope is made of polypropylene and floats in water. An adjustable handle and a metal ring for the rescuer to stand on provide better grip and control during a buddy rescue.
If a person goes through the ice, the rescue line makes it possible to establish contact from a distance. The throwing bag can be thrown at the person without the rescuer having to go all the way to the weak ice around the wake.
The red color makes the line and bag visible against snow and ice. The storage bag is also designed to slide over the surface when thrown.
The Norröra Rescue Line has an integrated weight that helps optimize the cast. The 24-meter long line is made of polypropylene and floats if it ends up in the water.
The bag has an adjustable handle. The metal ring at the back of the rope is intended to give the rescuer better anchorage and grip during the rescue.

The Norröra Rescue Line is the standard model with a fixed casting weight.

A lifeline works best when the user has practiced throwing, anchoring and repacking it, so practice in a safe environment before taking the line onto natural ice.
Keep the line easily accessible and not at the bottom of the backpack. Before each trip, check that the line runs freely, that the bag is properly packed and that no parts are damaged.
A lifeline does not replace knowledge of ice or other safety equipment. When traveling on natural ice, equipment should be adapted to the activity and conditions and supplemented with, among other things:
Ice studs
Ice spike
Flotation aid or properly packed skate backpack
Changing in waterproof storage
Whistle
Knowledge of ice assessment and buddy rescue
Ride with others, plan your trip and check current ice conditions. No safety product can make unsafe ice risk-free.
Remove the line from the bag after use and allow all parts to dry thoroughly before repacking. Rinse off dirt and salt with clean water if necessary.
Regularly check the rope, seams, handles and metal ring. Do not use the equipment if any part is damaged. The product is intended for rescue on ice and should not be used as a climbing rope or fall protection.
