A new concept in active insulation, the OMM Core Range is made entirely from PrimaLoft® ACTIVE ultra-lightweight insulating fabric. Constructed from a synthetic down woven through a knitted mesh, Core offers the warmth of a fleece but at less than half the weight.

Paired with a shell pant, Core Tights are an incredibly effective insulator, but thanks to their near-total breathability, excessive heat build-up is easily lost. A true valley to peak product. The Core Tights use 75g Core fabric to provide extra warmth for winter or cross-country runs. Core works wet or dry with incredible moisture-wicking properties to ensure you don’t stay soaked for long. While panels of stretch nylon Flexile provide extra protection with good wind and water resistance above the knees and a wide elastic band is comfortable for layering.

PrimaLoft® ACTIVE Insulation fabric weaves PrimaLoft® fibres onto a mesh, creating a super high volume and open structure. Fabrics insulate by trapping air pockets that the wearer's heat can't pass through. The core structure is exceptional at creating these pockets. But the openness also allows a light breeze to disrupt these air pockets and remove the insulating effect. Cover with a shell to create an incredibly warm system for cold weather adventures.

A single mesh fabric holds the insulation down in place, reducing the need for additional fabric layers and halving the weight and pack size.

OMM always chooses synthetic insulation over down to ensure it keeps you warm even when everything is wet. OMM believes that PrimaLoft® makes the best synthetic insulation, so it's an easy choice for them. 75g/m2 PrimaLoft® ACTIVE uses 58% recycled content, it's also bluesign and Oeke-Tex approved.
