The OMM Core Tights are ultra-light, insulating running tights for long winter runs, cold mountain adventures and overnight stays. PrimaLoft® ACTIVE 75 g/m² provides warmth with very low weight and pack volume, while the open construction offers very high air permeability.
The tights weigh only about 130 grams in size M and can be used as standalone running tights or as an insulating layer under wind or shell pants.
PrimaLoft® ACTIVE is made from synthetic insulation fibers woven into an open mesh material. The construction creates insulating air pockets without multiple layers of fabric, providing warmth with less weight and pack volume than traditional fleece.
The material continues to insulate when it gets damp and effectively wicks away sweat, making Core Tights particularly useful during long activities where intensity, temperature and weather can vary.
When worn without outer pants, the Core Tights allow air to move through the open material and transport away excess heat, helping to reduce the risk of overheating during runs and steep climbs.
Under wind or shell pants, the insulating air is retained and the tights become significantly warmer. The combination acts as a lightweight and flexible system for cold, windy or snowy conditions.
Core Tights are not waterproof and provide limited wind protection over most of the garment. In case of precipitation or strong winds, they should be combined with suitable outer trousers.
The knees are reinforced with panels of stretchy Flexile nylon. The panels provide extra durability and improved wind and water resistance over an area that is often exposed to weather, terrain contact and repeated movement.
The flatlock seams are positioned away from areas where friction is likely to occur. The wide elastic waistband fits comfortably and provides low bulk when worn with multiple layers.

When running in dry, cold weather, the Core Tights can be used as an outer layer. The open PrimaLoft® ACTIVE construction then provides a combination of insulation and very high ventilation.
In cold wind, precipitation or low activity levels, the tights work best under a windproof or waterproof outer layer. They can also be used as a light insulating garment during overnight stays and rest in camp.
The OMM Core Tights feature a unisex Contact Fit and are designed to sit close to the body for efficient moisture transport and low bulk under outerwear. The leg length may feel slightly shorter than traditional training and hiking pants, as OMM designs its running garments to keep the material away from your feet.
For a technical fit, choose your usual size. As the model is unisex, women who usually wear OMM women's sizes may in some cases prefer a size smaller.

The OMM Core Tights are ultra-lightweight, insulating unisex tights with a very close-fitting Contact Fit. Choose your size primarily based on your waist circumference and use your body length and inseam as supplementary measurements.
| Size | Waist circumference | Body length | Inseam length |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 70–76 cm | 155–162 cm | 71cm |
| S | 76–81 cm | 162–173 cm | 73cm |
| M | 81–86cm | 173–183 cm | 78 cm |
| L | 86–92 cm | 178–188 cm | 81cm |
| XL | 92–97 cm | 185–193 cm | 84cm |
The table shows body measurements. The inseam length is a guide and helps you assess how far down the leg the tights will sit.
Core Tights feature OMM's most body-hugging fit, Contact Fit. They are designed to sit close to the legs to reduce excess material and work seamlessly under wind or shell pants.
The fit can feel tighter and less elastic than traditional running tights with a high proportion of Lycra. The tights should follow the body, but they should not restrict your stride or pull down the waistband when you lift your knees.
OMM running garments often have slightly shorter legs than regular hiking and leisure pants. This is intentional to keep the material away from shoes and feet while running.
Measure around your natural waist, usually where your torso is at its narrowest. Stand relaxed and hold the tape measure horizontally without pulling it tight.
Measure from the crotch along the inside of the leg down to the ankle. You can also measure the inseam of a pair of tights or pants that fit well.
Measure your height without shoes. Use the height as a complement to the waist measurement, as leg and torso proportions vary between people.
Try the tights on with your regular base layer or underwear. Do some deep squats, high knee lifts, and running strides.
The right size means that:
If the waistband cuts in, the fabric is too tight across the thighs or seat, or your freedom of movement is restricted, you should choose a larger size. If the crotch hangs and the material bunches behind the knees, a smaller size may provide better function.
