Lundhags Leather Wax is a natural leather wax that protects boots against moisture and external influences. The wax nourishes the leather, improves its water-repellent properties and helps the boot maintain its stability.

The leather wax is particularly suitable for Lundhags boots with three-layer construction, but can also be used on other leather boots. It is produced using TOKO technology and contains carnauba wax, jojoba oil, lanolin and beeswax.

Protects the leather without softening it too much

Leather Wax adheres more to the leather's surface than Lundhags Leather Grease. It provides protection against moisture and wear while keeping the boot's leather feeling firmer and more stable.

Regular treatment helps prevent drying out and can extend the life of the leather. The wax makes the leather water-repellent but is not a substitute for a waterproof construction.

How to use Lundhags Leather Wax

Brush away loose dirt from the boots.

If necessary, clean the leather with lukewarm water and a soft brush.

Let the boots dry thoroughly at room temperature.

Apply a thin and even layer of wax to the leather parts.

Work the wax in with a soft cloth, especially around seams and bends.

Let the wax penetrate and polish if necessary.

Do not apply leather wax to the boot's cellular rubber or outsole. Also avoid drying over an open flame, directly on a radiator or at temperatures above 40°C.

Important for nubuck and suede

Leather wax can darken light leather and change the matte or brushed finish of nubuck and suede. Over time, the treatment can create a darker, shinier, more waxy patina.

If you want to maintain the original brushed look of the nubuck leather, Lundhags recommends using a custom impregnation spray instead. Always test the treatment on a less visible area first.

How often should boots be waxed?

Treat the boots when the leather starts to feel dry or absorbs water and develops dark spots. Lundhags recommends that new boots be treated carefully during the first three to four uses.

How often the treatment needs to be repeated depends on use, weather and how exposed the boots are to moisture and dirt.

The Difference Between Leather Wax and Leather Grease

Leather Wax does not penetrate as deeply into the leather and therefore softens it less. It is suitable when you want to protect the leather but maintain the stability of the boot.

Leather Grease penetrates deeper, re-greases more strongly and makes the leather softer. The grease can also make light leather darker than the wax. NOTE! Do not use on boots with membranes, as this will clog them.
