Lundhags Boot Care Kit - Oak brings together the tools and products you need to clean, care for and protect leather boots. Regular care helps the leather maintain its function, stability and water repellency while also extending the life of the boots.
The kit contains an application brush, a smaller detail brush, a cleaning cloth, Lundhags Leather Wax and care instructions. Everything comes together in the color Oak and is suitable for both the experienced hiker and those who want to get started with boot care.
The application brush is used to distribute the leather wax over larger surfaces. The smaller detail brush makes it easier to work around seams, folds and other hard-to-reach areas. The cleaning cloth can be used to wipe the boots and remove light dirt.

The included leather wax is made from carnauba wax, jojoba oil, wool grease and beeswax. It forms a protective layer on the leather's surface, helps repel moisture and makes the leather smoother without softening it as much as leather grease.
Leather Wax is particularly suitable for Lundhags 3-layer boots but can also be used on other leather boots. The wax helps the leather maintain its stability and protects it against moisture and external influences.
Wax can darken light leather surfaces. On nubuck, the treatment changes the brushed, suede-like surface and over time gives a shinier, waxed patina. It is advisable to test on a small, inconspicuous area before treating.

Brush away soil, gravel and loose dirt. If the boots are heavily soiled, they can be cleaned with lukewarm water and a suitable brush. Remove the insoles and let the boots dry thoroughly at room temperature before waxing.
Apply a thin, even layer of Leather Wax to the leather using the application brush. Use the detail brush around seams, creases and other hard-to-reach areas. Allow the wax to absorb and then work in or polish the surface according to the instructions provided.
Treat your boots regularly, especially before longer trips or when the leather starts to absorb water. Apply the wax only to the leather – the cellular rubber should not be lubricated.
Clean the brushes as needed and let them dry before putting them back in. Store the kit in a cool, dry place with the wax container tightly closed.
Never let your boots dry in a drying cabinet, directly in front of a fire or against a very hot radiator. Excessive heat can damage both leather, glues and rubber parts.
