Bergans Expedition Down Unisex Parka is a heavy-duty down parka developed and tested for expeditions, demanding winter weather and extreme cold. A generous layer of goose down with a high fill power provides effective insulation, while the durable ripstop material is reinforced over the shoulders and elbows.

The windproof and water-repellent outer fabric protects in exposed environments. The longer fit, adjustable hood and protective front flap make the parka well suited for cold winter days, mountain environments and expeditions.

Warming goose down with 750 fill power

The parka is insulated with RDS-certified filling of 95% goose down and 5% feathers. A fill power of 750 cuin provides good insulation, while the box construction helps the down to be evenly distributed and prevents cold spots.

Size L contains approximately 516 grams of down and feathers, which corresponds to a fill weight of approximately 230 g/m².

Durable construction for demanding environments

The outer fabric is made of durable polyamide in a ripstop construction. The shoulders and elbows have extra reinforcements to withstand wear and tear from backpacks, equipment and working in demanding environments.

The material is windproof and water-repellent but not completely waterproof. In case of prolonged rain or very wet conditions, a separate waterproof shell garment is therefore needed.

Protective details for extreme cold

The fixed hood can be adjusted both front and back for all-round protection. The two-way front zipper is covered by a full-length storm flap with Velcro closure.

Elastic cuffs with thumbholes act as wrist warmers and help keep out cold air. The extended back provides extra coverage, while the hem can be adjusted with a drawstring.

Practical pockets

The parka is equipped with hand pockets and chest pockets with zippers and protective flaps. On the inside there is a security pocket with zipper and a large open storage pocket with hidden elastic.
