The VJ Lightspeed is an ultralight racing shoe developed with elite runners with the goal of creating the world's fastest trail runner. Here it is.

The shoe features VJ's new SuperFOAMance midsole, which is made from a high-tech and ultralight nitrogen-infused material that offers extreme cushioning and energy return. This new foam is a modern, supercritical foam that is lighter, more responsive, more comfortable and more propulsive than a traditional EVA foam. Compared to other foams, SuperFOAMance is more durable and does not wear out as easily.

The midsole is finished with a branched composite plate that pushes the runner forward like a spring would. The reason the plate is branched is to offer lateral flexibility to optimize balance on uneven and constantly changing terrain.

The Lightspeed features VJ's famous Superior Contact outsole made from our proprietary butyl

rubber compound that provides superior traction on any terrain.

The Lightspeed upper is a lightweight, breathable, and durable one-piece upper that fits the

foot like a sock, while providing ample support for the runner.

VJ's innovative Fitlock system provides an optimal fit for the shoe by locking the foot from

the arch. It also provides extra protection by protecting the arch from impacts to the foot

face while running.
