Using nanotechnology, the inside of the bottle is treated with a thin layer of silicon dioxide. Silicon dioxide is used to manufacture glass and is then responsible for giving the glass its dense surface. You find silica in nature in the form of sand and quartz crystals. The Purist bottles are the first with the technology that gives the plastic glass-like properties, which in turn gives you the same feeling as if you had drunk directly from a glass, but with the flexibility and weight of a plastic bottle.
