SILVA Expedition Series is for experienced users and professionals. The expedition series has been a world leader in accuracy, precision and durability for many years. The SILVA Expedition series comes with two completely new functions: a tilt card and a shell band.

If you need a traditional base plate compass with advanced features, the Expedition should be your choice. SILVA Expedition is easy to handle Dryflex ™ housing, silicone rubber feet for precision mapping work, removable safety line, illuminated markings, magnifying lens, a clinometer for measuring inclination angle, map measuring scales in mm or inches, 1: 25 000, 1: 50 000 and GPS scales, plus built-in adjusters for magnetic declination (including permanent room adjustment). The expedition can also measure 1: 40 000.

The slope map is excellent both for detecting avalanche risk and for determining how challenging your trip will be. By knowing the slope, you can also assess any extra distances you need to walk due to the slope. The wave band has two scales; 1:25 and 1:50, which makes it easier to measure the distance for your hike. Because it is soft and flexible, it is easy to place it directly on your route on the map. The new graphics include a more distinct arrow (Expedition) and a more modern font.
