The Sea To Summit Sleepliner Reactor Extreme Mummy W/Drawcord is a warming sleeping bag liner for cold conditions. The combination of Thermolite® Pro, Thermolite® EcoMade and a body-hugging mummy shape helps retain more warmth in the sleeping bag without adding too much weight and pack volume to the sleeping system.
The soft and stretchy material follows the body's movements and fits sleeping bags of different shapes. An opening footbox with drawstring makes it possible to adjust the ventilation and walk around the camp with the liner on.
Reactor Extreme is developed to be used as a warming part of a complete sleeping system consisting of a sleeping bag, liner and insulating sleeping pad.
The thermal performance is tested according to ASTM D1518-2014. The results indicate an increase in the sleeping bag's insulation capacity of up to:
7% together with a three-season sleeping bag
15% off with a one-season sleeping bag
The percentages describe an improvement in insulation and should not be interpreted as the corresponding number of degrees Celsius. The actual increase in warmth is affected by the construction of the sleeping bag, the insulation of the sleeping pad, temperature, wind, humidity, clothing and individual cold tolerance.
Thermolite® Pro uses hollow fibers that help trap insulating air. The fibers contain permanent ceramic pigments that absorb the body's infrared radiation and return heat to the user.
The construction provides extra insulation without the liner needing to be as thick and heavy as a traditional fleece material. The knitted fabric also has high elasticity and provides good freedom of movement during the night.
The material consists of 50% Thermolite® Pro and 50% Thermolite® EcoMade. The EcoMade fibers are made from recycled textile waste and are GRS certified.
This means that half of the yarn in the liner consists of recycled material, while the construction maintains low weight, durability and thermal insulation properties.
The foot box can be opened or closed using a drawstring. Close the opening when you want to retain more warmth or open it to increase airflow on milder nights.
With the footbox open, the liner can be pulled up so you can stand and move around in your tent or camp without removing it. The construction also works with the Free-Flow Zip system on compatible Sea to Summit sleeping bags.
The liner lacks a side zipper to keep weight and pack volume down. Snaps at the shoulders provide a larger opening and make getting in and out easier.
Reactor Extreme acts as a barrier between the body and the inside of the sleeping bag. It helps to trap sweat, skin oil and dirt that could otherwise degrade the sleeping bag's material and insulation.
Since the liner is easier to wash than a down or synthetic sleeping bag, it can reduce the need to wash the sleeping bag itself. This is especially practical during longer hikes, mountain tours and travel.
The material is treated with HeiQ Fresh FFL, a bio-based and biocide-free odor control technology. The treatment uses a polymer based on amino sugars to neutralize substances that cause body odor.
It helps the liner feel fresher during longer use, but does not replace regular washing and airing.

The liner can be machine washed with regular detergent. Do not use fabric softener, as this may impair the moisture-wicking properties of the material.
Allow the liner to air dry or tumble dry on low heat without a dryer sheet. Make sure it is completely dry before packing it into the storage bag. Always follow the washing instructions on the product label.
