The Sea to Summit View Lightweight Drybag 8L is a lightweight, waterproof dry bag with a transparent window that makes it easy to see the contents without opening the bag. It is ideal for organizing clothing, kitchen equipment and other gear while hiking, camping, kayaking, cycling and traveling.
This original View model is made of PU-coated 70D nylon and weighs approximately 62 grams. The eight-liter volume provides plenty of space for, for example, underwear, socks, a hat, gloves and other smaller items or accessories.
The large window allows you to quickly identify what's inside the bag, which is especially handy if you use multiple similar packs or share equipment with others during a trip.
The window is made of transparent TPU and RF welded directly into the side panel of the bag. The welding provides a strong and permanent joint without the need to sew the window through the waterproof material.
The main material of the bag consists of flexible and durable 70D nylon with a waterproof PU coating. The material has a stated water column of 10,000 millimeters and provides good protection against rain, splashes and moisture inside the backpack.
The seams are fully taped to prevent water from entering through the stitching holes. The white coating on the inside reflects light and makes it easier to find small objects even in poor lighting conditions.
The opening is closed by rolling the reinforced Hypalon edge at least three times and then closing with the buckle. The roll closure is designed not to absorb and transport moisture into the bag.
Sea to Summit's 15mm wide Field Repair Buckle features stainless steel pins and can be replaced without the need to split or re-sew the straps. The buckle also features a D-ring that can be used to attach or secure the stuff sack.
The bag's material, windows and taped seams are waterproof, but the roll closure is not designed for prolonged immersion. The View Lightweight Drybag should therefore be used inside a backpack, kayak or other pack, and in situations where the bag will be exposed to rain, splashes and brief contact with water.
Store sensitive electronics and other equipment that absolutely must not get wet in a supplementary waterproof cover. The stuff sack should not be used as a flotation aid or for underwater storage.

Pack the equipment without filling the bag all the way to the opening. Squeeze out any excess air and lay the two sides of the opening evenly against each other. Roll the reinforced edge at least three full turns and then snap the buckle shut.
The roll closure needs to be tightly closed to provide the intended protection. Avoid dragging the bag over rocks and other rough surfaces and do not place sharp objects directly against the material or TPU window.
Wipe the packing bag with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. If necessary, a mild detergent can be used. Do not use solvents, bleach, machine wash or tumble dry.
Allow the bag to dry completely with the opening rolled out before storing. Store loosely and dry, away from direct sunlight and strong heat. Regularly check the window, taped seams and roll closure.
