The Sea to Summit View Lightweight Drybag 5L is a lightweight, waterproof dry bag with a transparent window that makes it easy to see the contents without opening the bag. The compact five-liter size is great for organizing underwear, socks, hats, gloves, toiletries, and smaller outdoor accessories.
The pack weighs only about 52 grams and measures 32 × 16.8 × 14 centimeters when the roll closure is folded three times. It is suitable for hiking, camping, canoeing, cycling, skiing and travel where low weight and well-organized packing are important.
The transparent TPU window allows you to quickly identify what's inside the bag, which is especially handy if you use multiple similarly colored packing bags or if multiple people share equipment.
The window is RF welded into the side panel of the bag. This method creates a strong and waterproof joint without the need to perforate the material with seams around the window.
The main material is made from bluesign®-approved recycled 70D nylon. The flexible material provides a good combination of light weight, durability and easy packing in backpacks, panniers and kayaks.
The exterior has a C0 DWR treatment without intentionally added PFAS, while the interior is provided with a waterproof polyurethane coating. The white interior reflects light and makes it easier to find smaller items in poor lighting conditions.
The body of the bag has a rated water column of 10,000 millimeters. The double-stitched seams are fully taped to prevent water from entering through the stitching holes.
The construction protects the contents from rain, snow, dirt and splashes of water. However, the roll closure is not designed for prolonged immersion, as water can enter through the opening if the bag is kept underwater.
The opening has a reinforced and moisture-repellent Hypalon edge. To close the bag, press out excess air, place the sides of the opening together and roll the edge at least three full turns before closing the buckle.
The buckle is a replaceable 15 millimeter Field Repair Buckle with two pins. If damaged, it can be replaced without the need to re-sew the strap. The buckle also has a D-ring for attaching or securing the stuff sack.
The oval bottom provides a stable and space-saving shape that fits well inside a backpack or suitcase. The shape also reduces the risk of the packing bag rolling away when placed on a sloping surface.

Pack the bag so that there is enough space to roll the opening at least three times. Squeeze out any excess air, smooth the opening, and roll the reinforced edge down tightly. Then snap the buckle shut.
Protect the material and TPU window from sharp objects and highly abrasive surfaces. Electronics and other equipment particularly sensitive to moisture should be placed in a supplementary waterproof cover. The packing bag should not be used as a flotation aid or for underwater storage.
Wipe the packing bag with a soft cloth, lukewarm water and, if necessary, a mild detergent. Do not use bleach or solvents and do not machine wash the bag.
Allow to dry completely with the opening rolled out before packing away. Store the bag in a dry place and away from prolonged sunlight and strong heat.
