The HD3 is designed for those who move in a vertical world and cannot afford unnecessary movements. For those who count every gram, every movement and every second. Its construction allows for quick action, so you can focus solely on your goal. The hip belt has a gear loop and a spacious pocket for small but important accessories such as an energy gel, compass or phone. The dual ice axe attachment system lets you access them without removing the pack. We’ve also included daisy chains to easily clip carabiners and harnesses. Durable tow loops let you secure your pack in rough terrain, pull it through narrow rock passages, or use it as an extra anchor point when extra support is needed.

Because safety comes first

Avalanche safety gear can’t be buried at the bottom of your pack. A removable avalanche safety pocket ensures instant access to your shovel and probe. Two main compartment openings – a roll-top closure and a rear-entry entry – let you quickly grab essential gear without unpacking everything. For added safety, we’ve equipped the HD3 with a Recco system, which reflects a rescue signal to help search teams find you faster, even under the snow. It requires no batteries or activation.

For stability means confidence

No matter how much gear you pack or how you arrange it, the HD3 remains stable – it won’t sway, tilt or shift its center of gravity, even in challenging terrain. Side compression straps with metal buckles allow you to adjust the volume of the bag, keeping your load secure and preventing unwanted movement. The pack is designed to keep the weight close to your body, giving you better control and unrestricted movement. The hip belt can be removed when you need increased mobility, such as during a climb or a fast ascent. However, for long hikes with a heavy load, it helps distribute the weight more evenly, reducing the strain on your back and shoulders.
