Lightweight, extendable carbon fiber probe with PFA quick-mount system (280 cm long)

Carbon fiber is light and stiff, and therefore the ideal material for Ortovox advanced probes. This lightweight carbon fiber probe is 280 cm long and has all the characteristics of a real professional probe. It is retractable, making it the first choice for many rescue organizations and mountain guides. 13 mm diameter and carbon fiber material make it incredibly stiff, unbreakable and precise. It also has a steel cable tensioning system that guarantees maximum rigidity. Thanks to its PFA quick assembly system, it can be assembled in just a few seconds and detached and folded just as easily. The rubberized grip also ensures safe, ice-free handling in all conditions.

As with all Ortovox probes, the CARBON 280+ PFA has a visual system with depth markers and a clear 1 meter marker. In addition, it comes in an optimized quick-release protection.

PFA QUICK ASSEMBLY SYSTEM 2.0

The successor to Ortovox's oft-copied quick-mount system is even SLIMMER and MORE COMPACT, while offering the same proven smooth clamping performance. Thanks to the NEW QUICK ASSEMBLY STRAP, the probe can be mounted directly from the cover. It can be folded by pressing the system lid with your thumb.

PROBE'S VISUAL GUIDE SYSTEM

The intuitive visual guide system always gives you quick and clear information about the depth of the victim. You can adapt your digging strategy and save important time thanks to the clear 1m marker, CONTRASTING DEPTH SCALE and COLORFUL END SEGMENTS. The bottom segment in neon orange indicates when you are approaching the victim.

QUICK RELEASE

The quick mounting strap enables immediate OPENING AND MOUNTING IN ONE MOVEMENT, without having to first remove the probe from the cap.

LARGE PROBE TIP

The significantly larger diameter of the probe tip compared to the probe elements ensures improved penetration.
