Lifesystems Ultralight Survival Shelter 2 is an ultralight wind sack and temporary emergency shelter for two people. Weighing only around 220 grams, it provides effective protection against wind and precipitation without taking up unnecessary space in your pack.
The shelter is easy to set up and pack away. When two people sit inside, it creates a warmer and more protected microclimate – useful in an emergency, a sudden change in weather, or a planned break in demanding weather.
The windbag is made of lightweight and durable 20D siliconized nylon. The unfolded size of 140 × 90 × 45 cm provides space for two seated people, while the packing dimensions of only 14 × 7.5 × 7.5 cm mean that the shelter fits easily into a smaller backpack.
The low weight makes the model particularly interesting for trail running, fastpacking, mountain running, skiing and hiking where every gram in the pack counts.
The material has a water column of 3,000 mm and protects against rain, snow and wind. Integrated waterproof seat panels provide protection from damp or snow-covered ground and create a clear seating area for users.
The ventilation opening contributes to air circulation, while the reflective strips improve visibility in the dark and bad weather.
The Survival Shelter 2 comes with an integrated stuff sack. The construction is designed to be quickly taken out when the weather deteriorates and then packed back up when the trip continues.
The shelter is suitable both as safety equipment and as temporary shelter for rest. However, it does not replace a tent, sleeping bag or insulating clothing for longer stays.

Remove the cover from the integrated stuff sack and place the opening downwards. Sit on the waterproof seat panels and pull the windbag over your bodies. Make sure the ventilation opening is kept clear and if possible place the opening sheltered from the wind.
