Bergans Y MountainLine Bold 3L Shell Jacket Men is a robust and technical shell jacket for demanding mountain activities. The durable three-layer construction provides reliable protection against rain and wind, while good breathability and generous ventilation openings help you regulate your temperature during high activity.

Bega Membrane Bold Pro™ combines a water column of 20,000 mm with a breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24 h. The construction is wind and waterproof, while the outer fabric made of 100% recycled polyamide is developed for demanding use in exposed mountain environments.
The fixed storm hood is compatible with climbing and ski helmets. The three-way adjustment and internal brim help protect the head, neck and lower face – both with and without a helmet.
Long two-way zips under the arms provide ample ventilation options to suit activity levels and weather. The openings are large enough to fit your arms through, allowing the jacket to be worn as a vest when you need maximum ventilation.
The quick-drying material at the neck and chin guard wicks away moisture and provides better comfort during intense activities.
The jacket's fit is adapted for layering and provides good freedom of movement even over a warming midlayer. Pre-bent elbows, an extended back section and the lack of shoulder and side seams contribute to high comfort when using a backpack or climbing harness.
The spacious Napoleon pockets are positioned to be accessible with both the backpack's hip belt and climbing harness.

Chest: Measure around the widest part of your chest with your arms relaxed at your sides.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist without tightening the tape measure.
Hip: Measure around the widest part of the hip and butt.
Body length: Measure from the top of your head to the floor when standing upright without shoes.
The jacket is designed to be worn over midlayers, so you don't usually need to go up a size to accommodate a fleece, wool sweater or light insulation jacket.
If you are between sizes, Bergans generally recommends the smaller size, as their outdoor clothing has room for layers. Choose the larger size if you prefer a roomier fit or will be wearing a thick down or synthetic jacket underneath.
For reference, the model in Bergans' product images is 185 cm tall and wears size L. However, the body length is only a guide - use the chest measurement as a starting point.
