Go out and stay out with the all-new OMM Mountain Raid 233 WP Sleeping Bag. WP stands for Water Proof; OMM has combined their incredibly warm and lightweight Mountain Raid sleeping bag with their super-light PointZero H2O fabric, commonly found in their waterproof Halo clothing, to create an all-in-one sleeping system for lightweight adventures where every piece of gear has to earn its place in your pack. The filling is made from 90% recycled material and OMM has now switched to a PFC-free DWR in the outer fabric, removing those nasty “forever chemicals” from the manufacturing process, making this one of OMM’s most gentle sleeping systems yet.

Based on the OMM Mountain Raid 233, with PrimaLoft® Cross-Core Gold insulation, which performs even when wet, if you get wet. A half-length zip reduces cold spots and overall weight, while a snug, adjustable mummy-style hood helps trap maximum warmth. A tapered fit reduces dead air and the shaped foot box provides a more comfortable sleeping position.

Like all OMM sleeping bags, they use this high-quality insulation and measure different weights per panel to ensure the best possible use of the fill. The base is filled with PrimaLoft® Cross-Core Gold 100 g/m2, while the top layer, above you the sleeper, is 133 g/m2 (giving it a total of 233 g/m2 in the name). By measuring the insulation this way, they can achieve such a low pack weight that there is no point in placing excess insulation (and therefore weight) under the sleeper, as body weight will compress it and reduce its ability to trap air and insulate. Instead, they focus the warmth on the top layer, allowing you to decide which sleeping pad to use to insulate you from the ground. Temperature ratings: OMM measures according to ISO 23537, which states temperatures for a sleeper wearing a single layer of underwear (i.e. thermal baselayers and long-sleeved top) plus a hat, on an insulating sleeping pad.

Comfort: The temperature at which a “cold” sleeper can comfortably sleep in a relaxed position.

Limit: The temperature at which a “warm” sleeper can comfortably sleep in a relaxed position.

Extreme: The temperature at which a sleeper can survive for 6 hours without risk of hypothermia.

The addition of a membrane cover will further increase the insulating capacity of the sleeping bag.
