The Topo Athletic Ultraventure 5 Wide is a well-cushioned men's trail shoe with extra room for your foot. The model is suitable for long runs, hiking and routes that alternate between trails, gravel and asphalt.

The Wide version in Black/Dark Teal combines a roomier last with soft ZipFoam™ cushioning and a durable Vibram® outsole.

Wide fit with more room

The Wide model offers more room across the toe box, midfoot and heel than the standard version. The anatomically shaped toe box allows your toes to spread out, while the lacing helps you customize the fit across the midfoot.

A good option for those who find that regular trail shoes are too tight and need more space on their feet for long days.

ZipFoam™ for long sessions

The ZipFoam™ midsole provides a soft and responsive feel. The sole height is 35 mm under the heel and 30 mm under the forefoot, giving a 5 mm drop.

The OrthoLite® Performance insole complements the cushioning with a comfortable feel when you step into the shoe.

Vibram® XS Trek for varying surfaces

The outsole's rubber compound and tread pattern are designed for trails, gravel, and road transitions. The Ultraventure 5 Wide is best suited for light to moderately technical terrain.

The upper's tightly woven mesh provides ventilation, and padding around the heel and tongue adds to the comfort. A Velcro fastening at the heel makes the shoe compatible with Topos gaiters, which are sold separately.

Use the Topo size guide and try on the socks you plan to wear. Make sure the heel is secure and that the toes have room to move. If you are between sizes, the larger size is recommended.

Care instructions

Remove the insoles and laces. Clean the shoes with a damp sponge and mild soap, rinse gently and allow to air dry. Avoid machine washing, tumble drying, direct sunlight and heat sources when drying.

Things to consider: The Wide version follows the same length chart as the standard model but offers more room in the width. Measure both feet standing and use the longest one. If you are between two sizes, the larger one is usually recommended.
