The Ortovox FREE RIDER 28 sits extra close to your back when skiing in all types of terrain – just like a second skin. This is mainly due to the flat, elastic CLASP FLEX BELT, which provides control in all situations and reliable support. The soft back pads hug your back perfectly without restricting your spine's movements. On the inside, the back of the backpack can be equipped with the Ortovox CLASP SPINE PROTECTOR. This back protector is certified according to motorcycle standards and can be purchased separately. It slides easily into a separate inner pocket. The focus here is both on your safety and on the environment: This freeride backpack is completely PFC-free and, thanks to the use of recycled polyester, is also climate neutral.

For optimal adjustment of the backpack on the go, it can be quickly compressed using the integrated side straps and folded into a flat second skin on your back. When it comes to rappelling in steep ravines or short walking passages, this freeride backpack has all the necessary attachment options for skis, ice axe or rope, not to mention the proven helmet net, emergency card and compatibility with hydration systems. All functions are well stowed away on the outside to prevent them from getting caught, even in difficult terrain.

The freeride backpack also offers enough space for climbing skins and crampons, ensuring extra flexibility out on the mountain. Avalanche equipment can be conveniently stowed away and kept at hand in a separate safety compartment, while all other items in the main compartment are accessible via front or rear access. The Ortovox FREE RIDER 28 is a versatile companion for maximum flexibility and freedom of movement on skis.
