The Nordisk Knuth -10° Mummy Sleeping Bag is a warm, mummy-shaped synthetic sleeping bag for cold autumn nights, milder winter hikes and camping when temperatures drop below zero. It combines recycled NorGuard S-PO 85® insulation with an adjustable 3D hood, thermal collar and a body-hugging fit that helps retain body heat.
The sleeping bag has a comfort temperature of −5 °C and a limit temperature of −10 °C. It weighs from 1,540 grams and is a lighter and less bulky alternative to the Knuth −20° for trips where really deep winter cold is not expected.
The product name's −10 °C refers to the sleeping bag's stated limit temperature and should not be interpreted as a comfort temperature for all users.
Comfort temperature: −5 °C – the temperature most relevant for those who easily freeze.
Limit temperature: −10 °C – the lower temperature limit that Nordisk specifies for the sleeping bag.
Extreme temperature: −30°C – a safety limit for survival, not a temperature for normal use or comfortable sleeping.
The perceived warmth is affected by factors such as the R-value of the sleeping pad, clothing, wind, humidity, tent, food intake and individual cold tolerance. In sub-zero temperatures, the sleeping bag needs to be combined with a sufficiently insulating sleeping pad.
Knuth −10° is filled with NorGuard S-PO 85® made from 100 percent recycled polyester. The insulation has a double-layer construction of 175 g/m² and a fill weight of 1,220–1,380 grams depending on size.
Synthetic insulation is a practical choice in variable and humid conditions. The material is relatively easy to dry and is well suited for longer trips where condensation and moisture can be difficult to avoid.
The outer fabric is made of durable 20D ripstop nylon made from recycled polyamide. The sleeping bag has a soft inner lining and is made from recycled fabrics and recycled filling, without intentionally added PFAS.
The 3D shaped hood can be tightened around the head to reduce the open area and limit heat loss, while the adjustable thermal collar helps to retain warm air in the main body of the sleeping bag.
The Knuth −10° also has a separate zipper at the shoulder. This allows you to free your arms while your torso and head remain in the sleeping bag – handy when you need to handle equipment from the sleeping area.
The spacious Sharkfin footbox provides space for your feet without the need to make the entire sleeping bag wider. The shape contributes to a more natural foot position while maintaining the thermal efficiency of the mummy construction.
The two-way side zipper makes the sleeping bag easy to open and allows you to regulate ventilation as the temperature changes during the night. The zipper is located on the left side.
Knuth −10° is available in Medium, Large and X Large. Choose a length that provides enough space without a large void at the feet, as unnecessary air inside the sleeping bag requires more body heat to warm up.

Air out your sleeping bag after each use and allow it to dry completely before storing. Always follow the washing instructions on the product label and use a detergent suitable for synthetic sleeping bags. Avoid fabric softener.
The compression bag is intended for transport. For longer storage, the sleeping bag should be stored loosely in a large storage bag or hung in a dry and airy place. Prolonged storage in a tightly compressed state can reduce the loft of the insulation.
