The Mightweight StormSock is made up of 3 layers and features a dense, stretchy terry-filled footbed, heel and ankle for warmth and cushioning. The sock is primarily knitted from merino wool, known for its antibacterial, anti-odour and moisture-wicking properties, keeping your feet warm, dry and comfortable. The outer layer of the sock, made from nylon, protects the waterproof and breathable Hydrotech membrane from abrasion from the boot. Lycra knitted through each layer gives the sock Bridgedale performance and together with the flat toe seam and elastic arch support, it ensures that the sock stays in place and does not cause any hot spots. The stretchy PU membrane and clever matrix lamination process that bonds the three layers of Bridgedale's Stormsock ensure they have class-leading stretch built in, wear after wear. Bridgedale's best-selling length, our boot length sits comfortably above the ankle of standard walking boots. By covering the leg up to mid-calf, our boots can easily be protected from water ingress with waterproof trousers or gaiters.

Performance Fit

Contoured knit ensures the sock cuff does not move around but sits comfortably tight around the ankle or calf, depending on the model. Made from slightly tougher yarn, they are best suited for expeditions and multi-day hikes.

Midweight

Midweight is a good, flexible and thick sock that provides plenty of cushioning and protection for all-day hiking and trekking.
