100% waterproof, this unisex sock with a heavy terry footbed and ankle is perfect for outdoor activities where a balance of warmth and breathability is desired.

These socks provide full lower leg coverage and protection up to the knees. Perfect for wading in rivers and streams, or when the weather gets particularly bleak and cold and you still want to run or cycle in shorts. The heavy knee-length StormSock is made of three layers and has dense, elastic terry cushioning throughout the sock for warmth and cushioning. The sock is mainly knitted from merino wool, known for its antibacterial, odor-resistant and moisture-wicking properties, keeping your feet warm, dry and comfortable. The outer layer of the sock, made of nylon, protects the waterproof and breathable Hydrotech membrane from abrasion from your boot or shoes. Lycra knit through each layer gives the sock Bridgedale performance and together with the flat toe seam and elastic arch support it ensures that the sock stays in place and does not cause any hot spots. The stretchy PU membrane and clever matrix lamination process that binds the three layers of Bridgedale's Stormsock together ensure that they have class-leading stretch built in, wear after wear.

Contoured knit ensures that the sock cuff does not move around but sits comfortably tight around the ankle or calf, depending on the model. They are made from slightly tougher yarn and are best suited for expeditions and multi-day hikes.
