The Exped Ultra 7R LW is a high-performance, extreme cold inflatable sleeping pad , designed for three and four season use and really cold conditions . With the highest thermal value in the Ultra series, it combines impressive insulation with low weight and a compact pack size - perfect for long hikes, winter touring, mountaineering and expeditions.
The LW ( Long Wide ) version offers extra length and width (197 × 65 cm) , providing plenty of space and increased sleeping comfort even for taller or wider users.
The Ultra 7R is insulated with 700 cuin RDS‑certified down , distributed in Exped’s proven DownMat construction . This provides exceptional thermal insulation with an R‑value of 7.1 , which is equivalent to use in temperatures down to approximately −30°C .
The 9 cm thick air cushion with longitudinal air channels provides both high comfort and stability, while Exped's Comfort Cradle side channels help keep your body centered and prevent you from slipping off during the night.
The sleeping pad is made of recycled 20D ripstop polyester , which is Oeko-Tex® 100 certified and provides very good durability in relation to its weight. The material is airtight, hydrolysis-resistant and manufactured with a focus on sustainability – the Ultra series is also climate compensated via myclimate .
The Ultra 7R LW comes with Exped's Schnozzel Pumpbag , which makes inflation quick, easy and completely free of moisture from exhaled air – especially important for down-filled sleeping pads. The pumpbag can also be used as a waterproof packing bag or compression bag .
