The Åsnes Explore 2-Section Touring Pole is a lightweight, stable and well-balanced touring pole developed for active skiers who place high demands on pendulum, durability and function. With an advanced construction in 100% carbon fiber and Kevlar reinforcement, the pole combines low weight with high durability - perfect for demanding touring in varying mountain terrain.
The pole is constructed with a carbon fiber upper tube and a carbon fiber lower tube reinforced with Kevlar threads . The Kevlar reinforcement increases resistance to impacts, shocks and point loads – especially important for technical riding, forest riding and heavy loads during ascents.
The low weight combined with very good pendulum makes the pole effective both on flat terrain and during long climbs.
Åsnes Explore is equipped with a reliable Flick-Lock system that makes it easy to adjust the length quickly and safely – even with gloves. The generous length adjustment makes the pole flexible for both uphill and downhill skiing.
The long alpine EVA handle allows for quick grip changes while climbing, providing better control and ergonomics on steep terrain. The handle also has an integrated barb for full-lifter adjustment.
The wide and comfortable strap features a new strap design that can be easily adjusted with one hand. The strap can also be quickly removed via a button on the top of the handle – a much-appreciated safety feature when skiing downhill, especially in forests where the risk of getting snared is greater.
The Åsnes Explore 2-Section Hiking Pole is an excellent choice for those who:
