On steep, icy sections where you have to carry your skis and for technical summit ascents, crampons are an absolute must for safety. Naturally, athletes prefer not to carry a single gram too much around in order to be as fast and efficient as possible.

The 10-point, fully automatic Mezzalama hybrid crampon is your first choice when you are aiming high. It meets ISMF regulations and combines the best of both worlds with its materials: the front is made of durable steel while the back is made of lighter aluminum. This makes the crampon well suited for use in mixed terrain or on rocks, but is still very light. Particularly practical: There is no difference between left and right, so you no longer have to wonder which is which. Assembly is quick and easy based on the sole length (260 to 333 mm), no tools required. They can be attached to touring skis in seconds and guarantee a reliable fit without play plus secure grip on ice, hard snow and icy rocks thanks to the steel cable. On the underside of the front part, an anti-balling plate prevents annoying snow clumps from building up. The Mezzalama crampon comes as standard in a fully automatic version, but if necessary, it can be quickly and easily converted into a toe arch for a semi-automatic version. It is supplied in a practical hard case for well-protected transport.
