Chimpanzee Isotonic Drink Orange is a powdered sports drink with orange flavor, carbohydrates, electrolytes and vitamin C. It is suitable for running, cycling, cross-country skiing and other endurance activities where you want to provide energy along with the liquid.

The package contains 600 grams and is enough for 20 servings. Each 30 gram serving provides 27 grams of carbohydrates, making it easy to include the drink in your energy plan.

Carbohydrates and electrolytes in the same drink

The carbohydrate mixture contains sucrose, maltodextrin, glucose and 20% isomaltulose. Isomaltulose is a source of both glucose and fructose.

The drink also contains minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium. One serving provides 183 mg of sodium and 81 mg of vitamin C. This means you get carbohydrates and electrolytes in the same bottle, with a clear serving size to start from.

Isotonic or hypotonic – choose the right mixture

The amount of water determines the concentration of the drink:

Isotonic mixture: Mix 30 g of powder with 375 ml of water.

Hypotonic mixture: Mix 30 g powder with 500 ml water.

The hypotonic mixture is more diluted and is recommended by the manufacturer before and during activity. Both mixtures contain the same amount of carbohydrates per serving – the difference is the amount of water.

Stir or shake until the powder has dissolved. Use a scale to measure the portion.
