The OMM Z‑Lite Poles – Alloy are ultra-light, solid and 4-piece running and mountaineering poles , developed by OMM with all their experience from mountain running, ultra-running and mountain marathons . The result is a pole that is light and compact to carry , but at the same time stable and functional when used in technical terrain .

The poles are made of high-quality aluminum alloy , which provides a very good strength-to-weight ratio and high reliability during long-term use. The fixed length contributes to low weight and high reliability, while the four-section Z-construction allows the poles to be packed down quickly and compactly when not needed.

Z-Lite Poles feature an ergonomically shaped EVA softgrip handle , designed for long sessions on varied terrain. The handle features an integrated, recessed channel for the Velcro closure , allowing the strap to be stored neatly when the poles are packed away. A molded webbing wrist strap , low-profile trough and integrated cord storage complete the design, making the pole ready for everything from fast mountain sections to longer stages.

Z‑Lite Poles – Alloy are available in five fixed lengths (110–130 cm) , with each length identified by a color-coded wrist strap for quick recognition. Whether you’re competing in a multi-day stage race , packing a long trail , or just need a reliable pole that can also be used to support a tarp at bivouac , the Z‑Lite is a versatile and robust partner.

Size chart – Walking poles

Choosing the right length of running poles provides better running technique, reduces fatigue and increases efficiency in the terrain.

Quick rule:
Body length in cm × 0.67 = recommended rod length
Always round down to the nearest size.

Recommended length

Under 155 cm → 100 cm

155–165 cm → 105 cm

165–172 cm → 110 cm

172–178 cm → 115 cm

178–185 cm → 120 cm

185–192 cm → 125 cm

Over 192 cm → 130 cm

When the tip is in the ground, the elbow should form approximately 90°. A slightly shorter pole is usually better for uphill running. For varied terrain, adjustable poles are recommended.
